Edinson Volquez had his work permit approved today so now he can pitch in front of paying crowds. He'll have to fly back to the Dominican Republic to get all the paperwork taken care of. He will leave on Sunday and return back to the Reds on Tuesday. Finally this is taken care of and now he can prepare to be the Reds opening day starter.
Honestly I think it's a bit rediculous that he has to fly all the way back to the Dominican Republic in today's age of technology, E-Mail, fax machines. Something can't just be sent to him through one of these sources of technology and instead he has to fly all the way back there.
